I should mentioned, the first time it happened, the van was sluggish, I turned it off and restarted it and it seemed better but not perfect. However, I didn't drive it last weekend and went to work Mon-Wed. with no problems.D LIGHT BLINKING - ENGINE LIGHT ON - Aamco told me I needed new transmission at $2,500. I wanted another opinion so I took my 2002 Honda Odyssey to an honest mechanic who fixes my cars regularly. He said it was probably the POWER STEERING SWITCH that makes the D light blink and shorts out the engine light so it stays on.I have a 2008 Honda Odyssey which started presenting a few worrisome problems last week. The VSA light, engine light (cam sensor), triangle with exclamation light have all illuminated and the "D" is flashing at the same time. The VSA was already replaced as per the recall last year.She has a Honda Odyssey EX-L 2007. We were driving this morning and she mentions that she thought the van was shifting a little funny lately. A bit of a delay and needed to be higher RPM than she is used to. A few minutes after she mentioned this The "D" light on the dash stared to blink. Remove the blue conector with the two wires and just jump them with a paperclip or wire and turn the key to the on position and count the long and short blinks the engine light gives in the dash. 6 Posts. #47 · Apr 19, 2010. 2004 blinking "D" no codes. My 2004 "D" light just started blinking as well. Ody has 87000. Local transmission shop hooked it up to a reader and said there was no transmission code, just a generic engine code p0700. Fluid level is fine. fluid looks reddish grayish.
