This happened on Sunday and after trying everything on google and YouTube for about 30 mins, my husband got out to use the restroom, came back and it was unlocked.With the connector disconnected and the key on, the PRNDL will be illuminated and the P will light up. Then jumper pin #3 (green wire) to ground and PRNDL display should go off. If grounding pin 3 turns the PRNDL off, the park detect switch is bad and the shifter will need to be replaced.
