Cheese07. I have been running a 16lb sprinco recoil spring and 20lb mainspring in my 4.4" p. It runs a variety of ammo just fine 147gr fenix all the way to winchester m1152. With that spring combo I am around 6k rounds down range. The safety is good but thats not surprising because the 1911 safety is the best safety there is. Weight wise the Staccato clocks in at ~34oz and the Glock 17 at ~22oz. Thats a pretty big difference and the added weight is what helps the Staccato shoot well. Jan 31, 2024 · Video is staccato a good gun. This is out Staccato P Review. The Staccato P is the latest model in the evolution of the 2011 series of pistols. Originally, they were known as STI. I own Staccato P, C2 duo, & XC. Also have the WC Xperior and EDC X9 double stack. All fantastic double stack 1911’s. My favorite though is Atlas Gun Works NYX v2. My dream EDC carry weapon. Its flatter shooting than the staccato XC Any freaking day of the week. Staccato XC is second best in personal opinion.Reliability: Around 250 rounds with out a single hiccup. No stove pipes, FTF or FTE, just reliable shooting. This is great for a tight fitting pistol. Pluses/Minuses: Overall great design. The pistol is very easy to shoot and recoil is minimal. Recoil is especially soft considering the light weight of the gun.Staccato XL. $3,800.99.
